Payday: The Heist (G3D)
The 1rst Person Shooter is the first game of the payday series. Looking well with VorpX. Shadows are carefully adjusted, through you can turn them completely OFF in the vorpx menu with just one click (G3D shadow treatment). FOV should be adjusted for proper FULL VR view.
– Full VR w. Headtracking
– Cinema Mode on default
– Profile available at the cloudThe game is currently 41% OFF Here
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter (G3D)
Game based on Diesel engine. Used the Payday 2 profile as a base and fixed some minor shadow issues along with a few other minor reflections. Looks pretty good in G3D and immersive for a tactical squad based game. Profile is set in Cinema mode with a maximum 3D strength due to a lack of in game FOV adjustments. FOV adjustment with VorpX creates some graphical problems. Default FOV is just enough but I’d prefer more myself, at least this works in G3D without major problems.
Notes:
– Max out in game graphic settings
– Higher resolutions can be used but text becomes smaller
– I am using 1920 x 1080 16:9 in game settings
– Consider my settings as a base profile and adjust to your preferenceProfile uploaded to the cloud.

Topic: Syndicate (2012)
So, Syndicate (2012) has a proprietary engine, but rjkole made a G3D profile for Knights of the temple! (It uses the same, proprietary game engine, but Knights of the Temple is a few years older)
I tried it, but it didn’t hook (the game has a strange loading process). I tried a few other profiles, and it hooked really well with Payday 2 (its made by the same company). It runs in Znormal (no G3D at all), but tends to crash when in VorpX.
I was wondering if someone more equipped in crafting profiles could use this information to possibly create a profile for this game? Thanks guys!Hi, i tried to setup head tracking in payday 2 and have no luck. If i control it with keyboard and mouse, i can setup tracking 1:1 with reality, but neutral position is unstable and fluctuates like with litle mouse movement. Even if i unplug the mouse. If i run it with xbox controller, HT is way too sensitive and i can’t change it to 1:1. Neutral position is stable but if i did some slow movement, it doesn’t affect in game character, so i can’t aim with it. Partially override controller nothing change. Is it caused by controller or is it something in settings? This game should be supported. I wanted to buy touch controllers, leap motion, MAG II or delta six but now i’m little bit disapointed with current state (may be caused by bad settings not bad vorpX).
Hi everyone!
I’m getting into this whole VorpX thing just right now, and i expected some issues with steam. :/
Maybe i am doing something wrong, but all other games just working fine.
I have an Oculus Rift DK2, and all of the games that i downloaded via Oculus Store are working perfectly. Also when i’m playing games from Origin (like battlefield 4, Hardline) are working very good with VorpX. And also (shamely) i have pirated games like Tomb Raider, also this works fine. But when i tried to play some games from Steam like Counter Strike, or Payday 2 didn’t want to be “connected” with VorpX, this means that the game just showed up on my monitor, and i could play it normaly, but not on my oculus rift. (For example balck ops 3 doesn’t even wanted to start…)
Do i have to start Steam VR or some other thing, or do i have to close something to get the things work? I want to make videos from it, how it works, and i am recording my videos with Nvidia’s “Shadow Play”, could this be a problem?
Thanks for the answers.:)When I started up Payday 2 with vorpx the screen I saw on my oculus rift was a flat rectangle box where the borders where visible. I have been tweaking with the settings all day but can’t get that effect that distorts the sides in order to get the screen to wrap around the oculus. What I see on my screen is practically the same thing you see when edge zoom is on but more zoomed in.
I have already deleted and reinstalled vorpx a few times. Still no change. I have also maxed out the FOV on all the games I used vorpx on including Payday 2 but that didn’t fix my problem.
I hope someone knows a way to change the rectangle I see to the fish eye effect I see in other people’s videos.
Topic: Payday 2 problems…
I’ve checked, and I couldn’t see anyone having this issue, but maybe I’m wrong.
Payday 2 launches fine, the main screen and lobbies are fine, but when the action starts the problems begin.
The main one is the colour… and I’m fairly sure it’s due to incorrect settings of some kind, but I really can’t figure out what it is.
Basically, with the resolution set to 1920×1080, the right eye has almost all textures completely red… the left eye is fine.
I’ve dabbled with a lot of other resolutions, and some (for example 1366×768) do exactly the same, but others (like 1280×800) make the right eye perfect but make the textures on the left eye go green instead. I’ve tried all of the available resolutions from 1280×768 upwards, and every single one has one of those two effects.
I’ve tried it on both windowed and fullscreen, tried it with V sync on and off, tried lowering and raising the graphics settings, but it’s always the same.
Any ideas at all?
I’m running:-
i5 3.3Ghz
8Gb Ram
R9 280X 3Gb Graphics Card
Windows 10 ProVorpx was working fine for me in every game
Skyrim
Zombiu
Dirt 3
Aliens vs predator 3
Penumbra
Amnesia
Bfbc2
Alien isolation
Necrovision
Gtaiv
Gtav
Bf3/4
Payday 2
Far cry 3/4Then after the 0.9.1 version I got the error “unnable to initiate oculus runtime”, this was because the new driver invalidated every occulus runtime version below version 7.
Now only Skyrim and Zombiu work.
Updating to windows 10 made every game on steam and several others crash instantly upon starting, despite them working perfectly before the update to 0.9.1. and after several days of troubleshooting I am certain the problem is privilege related, to uncontingent framework dependencies, and those are basically just i/o. What really changed was not changed by me.
Im guessing the reason you couldnt use clone screen but used direct to HMD is the same reason i am getting the crashes, because the process that simulates direct to hmd is what is malfunctioning.
So I am instead forced to do a system restore to fix this, but the vorpx autoupdater is a pain, I have to be offline to use it.
If there was an option to not update beyond a certain patch i would be very grateful, at the current time whatever features are added do not matter because i am unnable to run almost any games with them anyway.
In windows 10 there is slight mouseacceleration which makes it unservicable for practising counterstrike unreal tournament or starcraft II at a competitive level, and i am not talking about the improved pointer precision feature.
I would bore you with links and videos of how i can compete at any level with the occulus rift as the FOV inflation makes you extremely accurate (try it for yourself if you dont believe me!) but giving an alternative just for me and a couple of others who struggle with windows 10 is a longshot anyway.
The reason i dont mind using direct to HMD is because i have gotten extremely good at running it, first i turn the HMD on, then i use launchy to start executibles using touch such as Vorpx, i never have to see them even open. For windows i close one eye and have perfect perception, i have to admit it was very difficult in the beginning and i understand the efficiency is much greater with the “Direct HMD access from apps” mode, but the compatability renders this useless for consumers that are not developers.
Are you certain 0.9.1. works with the games i have listed?
Either way vorpx is the best software for vr gaming, the customization perticularly with the real time IPD, 2d FOV and headtracking sensitivity was worth every penny i spent, when fully optimized i can play for days and not get motionsickness, so thank you deerly Ralf and the vorpx team.
Topic: Payday 2
I just recently downloaded the free payday 2 demo, because i saw where it supports g3d, and OMG! It’s amazing in geometry 3d!!!! So here’s the really messed up part of this. I decided to go ahead and buy the full version, so after downloading, I fired up the game with vorpx and it’s all messed up. I noticed almost 1/4 of the menu was missing and thought oh crap this ain’t good and sure enough when the game loaded the colors were totally screwed up and caused my eyes to go crossed for a moment. It was like a bad anaglyph 3d mode or something. Ralf do you know or anyone else why the demo works flawlessly, but the full version doesn’t? I really would like to get the full version running properly on the rift.
